Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durga Das Uikey calls on Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur July 11, 2025: Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durga Das Uikey, paid a courtesy visit to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Raipur today.
CM Shri Sai extended a warm welcome to the Union Minister by presenting him with a traditional Kosa silk stole and a bell-metal memento—symbols of Chhattisgarh’s rich tribal heritage and craftsmanship.
During the meeting, both leaders held detailed discussions on the holistic development of tribal regions in the state. Key focus areas included empowerment of tribal youth, expansion of educational and healthcare facilities, and strengthening rural infrastructure in tribal-dominated districts.
The Chief Minister apprised the Union Minister of the state government’s ongoing initiatives and schemes aimed at tribal welfare. He also acknowledged the crucial support extended by the Central Government in accelerating development in remote tribal belts.
Union MoS Shri Uikey reiterated the Centre’s commitment to tribal welfare and appreciated the proactive measures taken by the Chhattisgarh government to uplift tribal communities.
